In Wuhan China, in epicenter of Corona Virus .

Progressive Hypoxia of the Patients know as SARS , Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome was treated by Hyperbaric Chambers .

Patients were not getting Better even with Mechanical Assisted Respiration with the Ventilators ,

SARS was endangering their lives that could lead to Certain death ,

RESEARCH : 

Hyperbaric Chambers are being utilised as an Alternative to Ventilators in Treatment of many Diseases including SARS , Severe Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome . 

Hyperbaric Chambers as Oxygenation Devices that are Classified as Class 2 Devices just like Ventilators , but far More Power full .

According to the Research Paper published in the Chinese , Hyperbaric Medical Journal by Doctors of Shipping General Hospital in Yangtze Wuhan ,

Hyperbaric Medical Clinical Research Trials of Hyperbaric Chambers as an Alternative to Ventilators as Oxygenation Devices .

Chinese Journal of Hyperbaric Medicine the role of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in the correction of hypoxia in patients with SARS pneumonia:

Research  Led  by Chinese Doctor Led Dr Zhong Xialing

Helped by Doctors , Zhong Xiaoling, Tao Xiaolan, Tang Yan, Chen Ruiyong 

SARS from Covid-19 , Critical Patient Progressive Hypoxia that was un-corrected with Ventilators and ECMO , due to Inflammation of Lungs and Severed Secretions .

HBOT Cleared of SARS Corona Virus , In Matter of just 1 or 2 sessions, each consisting of 60 Minute. 1.5 to  2 ATA Pressure was used.

Hyperbaric Chamber Proved to be very Powerful Therapy to remove Progressive Hypoxia caused by SARS . lungs .

The Hyperbaric Therapy proved to be Decider between life and death , Providing a solution to Failure of Organs.

The Patients responded to Treatment in the , First Session even ,

HBOT proved that even 2 session were enough to save the Lives of Patients having SARS .

The Research Paper, demonstrated that critical Patients after taking 5 session are devoid of symptoms of Fever , cough and Breathlessness

CT Scans of Chest and lungs proved the Point and Partial Pressure of Oxygen also Increased. 

Proper , Disinfection methods was carried out to save the staff and people from the , getting cross Infections.

Higher CRP Levels which have become Reliable Indicator of SARS caused by Virus infection due to Covid-19 , due to Progressive Hypoxia was shown to be reduced Significantly after the HBOT .

The Low counts of Lymphocytes found to be an Indication of Higher Mortality also Improved to Higher counts .

The lactic Acid in the Body another Indicator of Hypoxia due to SARS and Virus Infection due to Covid-19 , was also shown to Decrease.

Even Having Normal Pulmonary Function after Covid-19 , Imbalance between the Oxygen Demand and supply lead to SARS Hypoxia . Leading to Inflammations of Lungs Due to SARS .

The HBOT Corrects this Dilemma, it is about Time the WHO , World health Organisation should Include this as one of recommended treatment for SARS Covid-19 Disease

Introduction

• How Hyperbaric Medicine is able to Treat 300 Diseases ?
•  This is the Question is on Minds of a lot of People that How Simple HBO Treatment can , be so Powerful and yet Effective ? 
•  Today Video I will explain Mechanism of Actions of Hyperbaric Medicine, to provide some answers 

I will do that one by one ,  So let's begin

Increases the Body Oxygenation in the Tissues :

Hyperbaric Chamber and Ventilator are both Oxygenator Devices ,
Ventilators are Normobaric System as they act at Sea level known as 1 ATM
Hyperbaric Acts on Greater then Sea Level Pressures which can range up to 4 ATM or more especially When Treating Diving Diseases called Decompression Sickness

Hyperbaric oxygen Difference between the 2 , is that Hyperbaric Chamber Increases Oxygenation via Pressurized Environment while the Ventilator does it via Non Pressured Environment but with Positive Pressure Assisted Breathing .

Hyperbaric Chamber is known as Device that can Load Oxygen in the Body without the Need of Even the RBC /  Blood as it can Load oxygen Directly by Loading it in the Plasma or Body as 70% of that is water.

Hyperbaric Chambers can Treat Diseases and the Ventilators can just do Assisted Ventilation.

Increasing Body Immunity :

Hyperbaric Chambers Increases the Mitochondrial function in the Cells , and of Anti-Bodies are Also cells and its Function is Increased 300 % .

Oxygen acts as an antibiotic by impairing the bacterial metabolism. The effect of HBO is not selective but covers a broad spectrum of gram positive AND Gram negative organisms, It is most effective in anaerobic infections.

HBO produces free radicals which are toxic to the microorganisms. Oxygen has a direct bactericidal or bacteriostatic effect equal to that of some antibiotics especially on Anaerobic Infections .

HBO improves the phagocytosis, which is impaired by hypoxia,

Hypoxia impairs the immune mechanism of the body, whereas HBO improves it.

It Increases Effects of Anti-Biotics , HBO has a synergistic effect on sulfonamides, and increases the effect 5-10 fold effect on Aminoglycosides is reduced in anoxic conditions.

but with Hbot it is effective in Transporting the drug into bacteria and Enhanced Effects is Observed.

HBO inhibits the exotoxin production, in Gas Gangrene

e.g., alpha-toxin of C. perfringens or detoxifies the oxygen-labile exotoxins, e.g., theta-toxin of C. perfringens of Gas Gangrene

HBO is effective in drug resistant infections,

Acts on Cancer Cells and Reduce its Growth as , Normal Human Body also Produce 1500 Cancer Cells daily but Immunity take care of it as eat them to Keep Balance ,

Keeping the Body Healthy , with Increased Immunity via HBOT the Cancer is Stopped from Growing and Multiplying.

IT Decrease the Swelling and Inflammation

Inflammation, one of the most common mechanisms of disease and injury, is caused by biochemical byproducts that are manufactured by the body’s natural immune response.

Hyperbaric oxygen markedly decreases inflammation by stimulating the body’s own anti-inflammatory defenses.

This may be the single most important function of HBOT.
Cytokine Storm and Body Inflammatory Agents damage the Lungs and Other Organs of Body

And Hyperbaric Medicine takes care of that ,Autoimmune Disease are therefore kept in check.

IT Decreases Edema

Water in the Lungs or Edema as Patient is Drowned in his own Secretions

The net increase in arteriolar vasoconstriction and systemic vascular resistance leads to an overall decrease in tissue edema and increased tissue oxygenation.

Although vasoconstriction partially impedes blood flow, the hyperoxygenation of the plasma results in an overall gain in delivered oxygen.

Decreasing Scars and Keloids Formation

It Decreases the Lungs Deformation because of the Scaring because of Injury due to Viral Infections

Angiogenesis:

Hyperbaric Oxygen stimulates the body to grow new capillaries (angiogenesis),

essentially building a new collateral circulatory system to serve injured and healthy tissues alike.

The resulting neovascularization is extremely helpful for reaching tissues and organs that have restricted blood flow (ischemic areas)

as well as areas of the body that are lacking or compromised in available oxygen (hypoxic areas).
